ClaimEase uses AI and OCR to extract and summarize information from documents. Limited human review may occur to improve accuracy or provide support. You may opt out by emailing support@claimease.io, though this may affect accuracy or support levels.
We do not permit third-party AI providers to train models on identifiable user data unless you explicitly opt in.
We create de-identified data from claim records and combine it with data from other users to produce aggregate research on how property insurance claims are handled. We may provide that research to third parties, including insurers, researchers, and other commercial recipients.
De-identified data includes your insurer, the type of loss, the general structure of your coverage, how your claim progressed, and its outcome. Geography is generalized to county and state. Dates are generalized to the month. Dollar amounts are grouped into ranges.
De-identified data never includes your name, address, contact details, the contents of your documents, your photographs, your messages, or any free text you have written. It is stored separately from your account and is not linked to you.
Because this data does not identify you, we may use and disclose it for any purpose, and it remains part of our aggregate research after your account is deleted.
We do not sell your name, email address, phone number, or postal address, and we do not sell your documents, photographs, or messages. We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We retain information only as long as necessary for the purposes described, or as required by law. You may request deletion of your data (see Section 8). Backup data may persist for a short time after deletion.
De-identified data described in Section 4 is not linked to your account. It is retained indefinitely and is not deleted when your account is deleted, because it cannot be traced back to you.
We use encryption, access controls, and logging to protect information. No system is fully secure — please safeguard your credentials and devices.
The Services are intended solely for adults 18 or older, as stated in our Terms of Service. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we will delete it promptly.
You can download a complete copy of your account data — including your documents and photos — at any time from your account settings, without contacting us.
Email requests to support@claimease.io. We may verify your identity before fulfilling requests.
We comply with the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). We do not sell the categories of personal information described in Section 4, and we do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You have the right to access, delete, and correct your information and to opt out of “sharing” for advertising purposes.
When applicable, you have data subject rights under the GDPR, including access, correction, deletion, portability, and restriction of processing. ClaimEase acts as a data controller for user accounts and documents.
Your data may be stored in or accessed from the United States. We use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers, including standard contractual clauses where required.
We use cookies to remember preferences, authenticate users, and analyze performance. You may disable cookies in your browser, though some features may stop functioning properly.
You may opt out of marketing emails by clicking “Unsubscribe” or contacting us. Transactional or account-related emails may still be sent.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we'll notify you via email or in-app notice. Continued use means you accept the updated version.
